In 2002 Japanese fashion designer, Yohji Yamamoto launched his first collection in collaboration with the sport brand, Adidas named Y-3. The common brand name embodies the true vision of the collaboration. ’’Y’’ represents Yohji Yamamoto, the ‘’3’’ embodies Adidas three stripe logo and the ‘’-‘’ symbol shows the connection between them. Yohji Yamamoto was undoubtedly the first and biggest name to marry fashion with sport apparel.
